PORTRAITS

ENVIRONMENTAL AND CORPORATE HEADSHOTS

In an increasingly visual world we use images to help tell stories quickly.  Portraits should be considered as no different.  A portrait is a lot more than a smiley face.

For any image to be effective, it needs to captivate and intrigue.  I like portraits to have a sense of fun involved.

A portrait should tell a story about the person that is interpretable to anyone.  Simple use of props and environment can be of great effect.  What can be used to define you?

The technique starts with an idea of what should be conveyed.  Then make the individual feel relaxed and comfortable to capture natural expressions and character.  I use dynamic lighting to help express emotion and to focus on a subject’s best assets.

Portraits can be used for personal use, for editorial articles, for online profiles, business cards and other marketing purposes.

Define your image to describe yourself professionally.  What’s your story?
