The Abandoned Desert. Here are a few shots captured whilst driving across the desert late at night. I am fascinated by abandoned buildings of the Googie style. I love Googie architecture and perhaps because these buildings were abandoned, they remain original and true to their form. They give me a sense of the post-apocalypse. Perhaps because the style is so infused with the idea of the nuclear age and because they look today like they are the remains of an atomic bomb.
